At Texas Royalty, we typically develop drilling prospects in-house, but we also actively pursue new oil and gas projects. Our primary area of interest is the East Texas Basin but we are equipped to undertake leasing and drilling operations on most any project located in Texas. We have also participated in prospects in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and California.
On most drilling prospects, we prefer to be involved on ground floor geologic ideas that have not yet been leased. We will fund all leasing and pay a geologic fee and override commensurate with the project.
We prefer to operate most prospects submitted to us, especially if the prospect is in the East Texas Basin, but we will certainly consider investing in quality prospects as a non-operator.
